I can’t pinpoint when it happened. There was no ‘aha’ moment that signified I was finally an adult, that I finally felt like a mother. But nevertheless, here I am.
I didn’t feel that different in the beginning, but maybe I just didn’t have time to feel different, what with all the feedings, loss of sleep and diaper changes. Now, though, I almost can’t recognize who I’ve become and I can’t remember who I was.
