The community will remember the tragedy of Sept. 11, 2001, with a piece of the wreckage.
Work on a monument to the event is on schedule to be completed in time for a memorial service at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-Central on North Dixie Avenue in Radcliff.
The dedication will commemorate the 10th anniversary of terrorist attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people. It is free and open to the public.
The monument includes pieces of the World Trade Center towers, which were destroyed during the attacks.
