    Mark and Maureen Wilcox of Vine Grove announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nicole Wilcox, to Jeremy Elmore, son of Michael and Vonda Elmore of Louisville.

    The bride-to- be, a graduate of North Hardin High School, graduated in May 2009 from Campbellsville University with a degree in social work.

    The prospective groom, a graduate of Moore High School in Louisville, also graduated in May 2009 from Campbellsville University. He graduated with a degree in educational ministries.

    Natalie McKinney of Rineyville and David “DJ” Marcum of Elizabethtown were married by Brother Nathan Whisnant, July 4, 2009, at Camp Carlson.

    The bride is the daughter of Todd McKinney of Eastview and Anita McKinney-Hedges of Rineyville.

    The groom is the son of Dave Marcum of Elizabethtown and the late Lisa Marcum.

    Maid of honor was Celeste Cross; bridesmaids were Courtney Hardin and Gretchen Kratz; and flower girls were Anna Marcum and Rebekah Chapman.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Leslie Teague of Greensburg. She is a 2006 graduate of Green County High School and a 2009 graduate of the University of Kentucky

    The prospective groom is the son of Ed and Nancy Staton of Elizabethtown. He is a 2002 graduate of Elizabethtown High School, a 2006 graduate of U of K, and a 2009 graduate of the U of K College of Law.

    Debbie Cundiff Peters and Kevin Peters were married June 5, 2009, with Judge-Executive Robert Scott officiating.

    The maid of honor was Angel Mouldin. The best man was Wayne Mouldin.

    The reception was in the bride and groom’s home. The couple resides in Elizabethtown.

    KEITH. Air Force Airman Billy J. Keith graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. A 2006 graduate of Central Hardin High School, he is the son of Rhonda and Willard Keith of Elizabethtown.

    Russell and Alpha Hack Knight are celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary. They were married July 25, 1946 at Gretna Green Wedding Chapel in Yuma, Ariz., by the Rev. J.G. Anderson.


  • Parents welcome Kamdyn Porter McKina



    Kathryn Martin and Brandon McKina of Radcliff announce the birth of a son, Kamdyn Porter McKina, on June 17, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He weighed 6 pounds, 3 ½ ounces and was 19 inches long.

    Grandparents are Rebecca Martin of Radcliff, Shawn Martin of Shelbyville and Julie and JP Morrow of Elizabethtown.

    Great-grandparents are Shirley Martin of Vine Grove and John and Iva Hinds of Radcliff.

  • Coopers celebrate 50th wedding anniversary


    Bob and Deedie Cooper of Vine Grove recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a dinner hosted by their children. They were married at St. Brigid Church on June 6, 1959, by the Rev. Anthony Zeigler. They are the parents of Susan Sears, Rob Cooper and Mary Young, and seven grandchildren.

    Major DeJuana Riat was welcomed by Radcliff Rotary Club President-elect Neil Atcher, left, at a recent meeting. Maj. Riat is an Army Health Care recruiter, a physician’s assistant and a flight surgeon with more than 18 years of service. She was a guest of Rotarian Charlie Fraley, right. Maj Riat explained the many educational, financial and life style advantages the Army offers as incentives for medical personnel.
