  • Korea vet's remains to be interred Wednesday


    Obituaries usually run a few days after someone dies.

    An obit in Friday’s edition of The News-Enterprise was timely because of Wednesday’s graveside service — but not at all timely in the usual way.

    Cpl. Harry James Reeve died in 1950, but his skeletal remains were found only six years ago — by an elderly North Korean farmer who told investigators bodies were buried in a rice field.

    “I’m glad Harry is going to get some recognition,” said James Hughes, Reeve’s cousin.
