    Edna Maxine Amos Edna Maxine Amos, 96, of Cecilia, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009, in Cecilia. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was born on Sept. 14, 1912, to the late Ulysses Samuel and Mary Belle Stringfield Matthews. She was married to Arthur “Pete” William Amos, who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1980. She was also preceded in death by 11 brothers,
