    Brandy Browning and Javan Graham were married in a private sunset ceremony Oct. 22, 2009, at Tybee Island, Ga.

    The bride is the daughter of Bob and Jeannie Browning of Rineyville.

    The groom is the son of Billy and Vicky Graham of Elizabethtown.

    The bride was given in marriage by her father.

    Matron of honor was Renee Wagner, and best man was Tyler Pence.

    Joe Graham, brother of the groom, and Derek Talley, cousin of the groom, provided music.

    The couple reside in Elizabethtown.


  • Club members take riverboat cruise

    Waleska Westerman, Doris Browder, Ava Greathouse, Mary Agnes Sears, Vada Johnson, Marilyn Williams, Susanne Tigges, Kathy Eubanks, Barbara Hayes, Marvis Riedlinger and Pam Fullerton of the Radcliff Woman’s Club and the Retired and Ready Seniors of Radcliff United Methodist Church took a joint trip on Sept. 25 on a riverboat ride to enjoy the sights.

    On their hour and a half cruise, the ladies watched for wildlife which included three American Bald Eagles, five turkey buzzards, two deer, one goose, two Heron, turtles, dozens of mud Lark nests and several catfish.

  • Cody announces birth of brother


    Cody Ryan Gibson announces the birth of his brother, Cooper Jayden Gibson, on Jan. 21, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown. Cooper weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Cooper's parents are Mitch and Michelle Gibson of Rineyville.

    Maternal grandparents are Fred and Donna Moore of Elizabethtown. Paternal grandparents are the late Orval “Spaz” Gibson, and Joy Bradshaw of Mount Sherman.


  • Minnis retires from Army

    Sgt. 1st Class Michael Minnis recently retired from the Army.

    He and his wife, Darla; and two children, Andrew and Chelsea, reside in Rineyville.


  • Grandparents welcome Owen William Andrews


    Junior and Kelly Andrews of Elizabethtown announce the birth of their first grandchild, Owen William Andrews, on Sept. 19, 2009, in Parker, Colo. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20 ½ inches long.

    Parents are Luke and Kristin Andrews of Castle Rock, Colo.

    Maternal grandparents are Rick and Kathy Usery of Morgantown, W.Va.

  • Ancestral Trails learns about Ben Hardin Helm

    Ancestral Trails Historical Society met recently with John R. Clark presenting the program on Brigadier General Ben Hardin Helm of Elizabethtown who was killed at the Battle of Chickamauga in the Civil War.

    The next meeting is Dec. 4 at the Hardin County Public Library and will be the annual Christmas party. Officers will be elected for the upcoming year. For more information call 862-3209.

    Cash Express and North Hardin Hope will team up for its annual toy and coat drive. All donations received will be distributed in the community. Gently used and new toys and coats and nonperishable good will be accepted through Dec. 15 and can be dropped off at 1413 S. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff.
