  • Wallaces celebrate 50th wedding anniversary


    Jim and Carol Wallace will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception given by their children from 1 to 3 p.m., Aug. 15, 2010, at the Holiday Inn Express in Elizabethtown.

    They were married Aug. 14, 1960 at Salem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville, Ill.

    They have three children, Karen Gowen, Susan Simmons and Guy Wallace; and seven grandchildren.

    All friends and family are invited to attend.

    The couple requests no gifts, but their children welcome photos or any other memorabilia you may wish to bring.
