  • Hardin Memorial Hospital receives program accreditation

    Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown recently received program re-accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

    To receive a five-year re-accreditation, a sleep center must met or exceed all standards for professional health care as designated by the AASM. The accreditation process involved detailed inspection of a center’s facility and staff, including an evaluation of testing procedures, patient contacts and physician training. Hardin Memorial Hospital is directed by Dr. Elisa B. Garcia and is located at 913 N. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown.

  • Parents welcome Dylan Floyd

    Aaron and Vikki Booker of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a son, Dylan Floyd Booker, on July 9, 2010, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 9 pounds, 1 ounce and was 20.75 inches long.

    Grandparents are Steve and Anna Booker and Donnie and Sharon Walters, all of Elizabethtown.

    Great-grandmothers are Katherine Booker of Eastview and Nadine Williams of Cecilia; and great-great-grandmothers are Kathleen Booker of Sonora and Evelyn Floyd of Eastview.

  • Grandparents welcome Mason Jennings

    Weller and Carla Nelson of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a grandson, Mason Jennings Campbell, on Dec. 2, 2010, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 20 ¼ inches long.

    Parents are Brad and Stephanie Campbell of Louisville.

    He has a sister, Baylee Lynn.

    Paternal grandparents are Wayne and Diane Campbell of Chattanooga, Tenn.

    Great-grandparents are Tootie Lutz of Elizabethtown, the late Carl Lutz, and the late W.J. and Virginia Nelson.

    Barbara Sherman of Radcliff announces the birth of a grandson, Isaiah Daniel Wright, on Feb. 11, 2011, at Clarian North Memorial Center in Carmel, Ind. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Sister is Lauryn Marie Wright.

    The bride-to-be is the daughter of Brian and Shaune Williams of Elizabethtown and Sam Barker of Vine Grove.

    The prospective groom is the son of Neal and Melody Dodson of Webster.

    Home Instead Senior Care, the world’s largest provider of non-medical in-home care services for seniors, tops the list of franchisers with high franchisee satisfaction for 2011.

    Franchise Business Review bestows the Top Franchise awards annually to franchisors with the highest overall franchisee satisfaction, according to an annual survey of franchisees. The award is based on a survey of more than 10,000 franchisees representing more than 300 franchise brands.
