    Michael James Brey and Pamela D. Reedy-Brey of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a son, Michael James Joseph Brey on March 25, 2009, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 6 pounds, 4.5 ounces and was 18 inches long.

    Siblings are Matt and Shawn Reedy and Makayla Brey.

    Grandparents are James and Evelyn Foster of Elizabethtown and Joe and Jackie Brey of Hodgenville.

    Great-grandparents are Euncie Druen of Hodgenville and Joann Underwood of Elizabethtown.

    Curt and Claudia Showers of Elizabethtown announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Nicole Showers of Elizabethtown to Craig Durand of Berwick, Maine.

    The bride-to-be is a medical assistant at Dr. Arce’s office.

    The prospective groom is the son of Gail and Don Fortin and Bruce Chandler. He is in the Army.

    The wedding is at 6 p.m. July 18, 2009, at My Old Kentucky Home with a reception to follow.

    All friends and relatives are invited to attend.

  • Sisters welcome Robert “Caden” Nunn


    Brooke Danielle and Savanna Skye announce the birth of a brother, Robert “Caden” Nunn on Dec. 22, 2008 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He weighed 9 pounds, 2 ounces and was 20 inches long.

    Parents are Eric and Stacy Nunn of Bonnieville.

    Maternal grandparents are Bobby and Faye Riggs and David Wingfield, all of Upton. Paternal grandparents are Robert and Carolyn Nunn of Bonnieville.


  • Cecilia Days to be Aug. 7-8

    Cecilia Days, celebrating 40 years, will be Aug. 7 and 8 with many different activities.

  • Campbells celebrate 39th wedding anniversary

    Ezekiel and Betty Campbell of Radcliff celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary July 1, 2009.

    Mr. Campbell is a retired veteran and is employed at James Medical Equipment Company.

    Mrs. Campbell is employed at Walker Intermediate School.

    They have two children and five grandchildren.
