    HARDIN COUNTY — Community members looking for a quick way to contribute to local charitable agencies can literally mail their help this Saturday.

    The 17th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers, is Saturday in Hardin County. Residents can leave non-perishable food items by their mailboxes or at E.W. James and Houchens grocery stores in Elizabethtown.

    FORT KNOX — Ireland Army Community Hospital is responding to the needs of traumatic brain injury cases resulting from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by returning some semblance of normalcy back to an injured soldier’s life, officials said. To do that, the hospital is taking advantage of the best programs and tools available, officials said.
