The LaRue County Hawks realized the Hart County Raiders weren’t at full strength, so they might have been thinking a win was going to come easy.
It didn’t. At least not at first.
The Raiders jumped out to an 11-6 lead, prompting LaRue County coach Paul Childress to call a timeout where he challenged his team to start playing better on both end of the court.
LaRue County responded just as Childress hoped, taking the lead less than 2 minutes later and rolling to a 77-43 victory over the visiting Raiders in an 18th District game Friday night.
