  • Cecilia Ruritan Club holds Christmas Party

    1 The Cecilia Community Ruritan Club, Christmas Party was entertained at dinner by the “Heartland Fillies.”

    2 Denver Woodring who initiated Cecilia Day in 1971 installs the officers for the coming year of the Cecilia Community Ruritan Club which sponsors Cecilia Days.

  • Spreading Christmas cheer

    A woodwind ensemble from North Hardin High School performed a selection of Christmas music at the Dec. 22 meeting of the Elizabethtown Rotary Club.   • Disabled American Chapter 003 Elizabethtown receives donation

    Marvin Skaggs, left, co-owner of Sinister Tombs Haunted House, presents a check for $200 to Commander Gary Rice of DAV Chapter 003 in Elizabethtown. Skaggs also donated $500 to DAV National Headquarters in Cincinnati earlier this year.     Warm Blessings meal kitchen received coats, toys and clothing for children and adults donated by Cash Express. Receiving the donation for Warm Blessings was Joyous Devore, one of the Dinning Room Coordinators for Warm Blessings meal kitchen. Patrons of Warm Blessings along with families referred by local school resource centers, Headstart and SpringHaven were given the opportunity to shop for needed items.

    The students of Mila Nikolic, music teacher, performed their Christmas recital on Dec. 17 at the Plum Alley Theatre in Elizabethtown.

  • Radcliff Rotry Club celebrates Christmas

    The Radcliff Rotary Club recently celebrated Christmas with the traditional Christmas story read by Rotarian Bill Hansen. Hansen has been reading a story at Christmas time for more years than anyone, including him, can remember.

    In addition, the club presented a $500 check to Rotarian Len Casey on behalf of North Hardin Hope. The annual Hope contribution is just one of the many community service projects of the Radcliff Rotary.
