    AIDEN MILLER Corey and Krystal Miller of Eastview announce the birth of a son, Aiden Miller, on Nov. 7, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Grandparents are Mike and Connie Ireland of Upton and George and Paulette Miller of Eastview.

    Parents welcome Grace Elizabeth

    Kenneth Jr. and Julia Fulkerson of Elizabethtown announce the birth of a daughter, Grace Elizabeth, on Sept. 27, 2008, at Hardin Memorial Hospital. She weighed 8 pounds and was 19 ½ inches long.

    Grandparents are Carlos “Cotton” and Martha Riggs of Hodgenville and Kenneth and Rita Fulkerson of Sonora.

  • MOAA has Col. Eric Schwartz as guest speaker

    The Fort Knox Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) met Dec. 17 at the MOAA Clubhouse, Building 297, on Fort Knox. Guest speaker was Col. Eric Schwartz, the new Fort Knox Garrison commander. He is a combat veteran of the Middle East where he was seriously wounded. Although he still bears some limitations from his wounds, they do not hold him back in any way.


    Parents welcome Remy Scott

    Jeremy and Jessica Aldridge of Radcliff announce the birth of a daughter, Remy Scott, born Sept. 6, 2008, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 20½ inches long.

    Remy has two sisters, Sidney Anne and Regan Leigh.

    Paternal grandparents are Garnetta Aldridge of Vine Grove and the late James R. Aldridge. Maternal grandparents are Wayne and Carolyn Walters of Emma.

  • Allegro Dance Theatre students perform with 113th Army Band

          Ballet students from Allegro Dance Theatre performed at the Christmas concert of the 113th Army Band at Fort Knox. Intermediate and advanced ballet dancers performed selections from Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” while the band played.

    GARVIN. Army Pvt. Nathaniel D. Garvin has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. A 2007 graduate of John Hardin High School in Radcliff, he is the son of Clifton Garvin of Elizabethtown.

    Brother welcome Ashton Scott

    Austin Russell Koncal announces the birth of a brother, Ashton Scott Koncal-Clark, on Dec. 18, 2008, in Elizabethtown. He weighed 5 pounds, 13 ounces and was 18¼ inches long.

    Parents are Michele Lynn Hazelwood of Elizabethtown and Gregory Scott Clark Jr. of Glendale.

    Siblings also include Alexandria Lynn Hazelwood of Elizabethtown.

    Joseph Robert Grist, of Sharples, Bolton, England and Victoria Jacqueline Grundy, also of Bolton, announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

    The prospective groom is the son of Rebecca Coakley of London, England, formerly of Elizabethtown, and Tony Grist of Oldham, England, and the grandson of Robert and Dorothy Coakley of Elizabethtown. He is a personal trainer and duty manager at a local leisure/fitness center.
