Meghan Tipton, a LaRue County High School senior, painted the school district’s banner this year that was displayed at the Kentucky School Board Conference Feb. 27 - March 1 at Louisville’s Galt House East.
Jody Ingalls, teacher and writer, gave a performance of “Women In History – Stories to Inspire Kentucky” at the March meeting of the Daughters of the American Revolution at the Brown-Pusey House in Elizabethtown.
With roots in the 1700s and the Middle East, and a reputation at the Kentucky Derby, the mint julep is “a simple drink,” said Boundary Oak Distillery Vice President Miles Goodin. “It’s basically a bourbon snow cone,” he said.
The season is set for local theater in Hardin County.
