Romney and Ryan will fix Medicare

Recently, several cartoonists have joined the “Mediscare” efforts attempting to misrepresent if not out right lie about Congressman (now GOP vice president choice) Paul Ryan’s budget plan. Like many years prior, the liberals are attempting to scare senior citizens. Truth is the Ryan plan made no changes to Medicare for people 55 years or older but did offer changes to Medicare for future generations.

Progressives must go

If you want to believe in something, then believe in it. Just because something isn’t true, that’s no reason you can’t believe in it. Just don’t expect me to believe in it, too. What you should not believe in is things that have been proven not to work. Things like Marxism, collectivism, socialism, communism, Leninism, Maoism or liberalism. These all are birds of a feather and all are by definition progressive forms of government. A form of government that history teaches has never worked.

Not the time to change fuel standard

Kentucky has been hit hard by the drought, and corn supplies will be tight in the commonwealth, but now is not the time to ask for changes to the Renewable Fuel Standard, which has led to 400,000 jobs in rural America, reduced dependence on foreign oil, and lowered the price of fuel at the pump for all consumers, not to mention improving our air quality at the same time.

Where is the investigation?

On July 20 it was reported that a telephone bomb threat was made on the Detroit Tigers where 33,000 people were in attendance at a game with the L.A. Angels in Comerica Park. The ball park incident followed two separate bomb threats made on the Detroit’s Windsor Tunnel and the Ambassador Bridge. Both connect the U.S. to Canada and are very busy international commerce crossings. On July 10, the IRS offices were evacuated because of a suspect delivery, and a similar thing occurred at the Cobo Hall Convention Center.
