Frankfort needs a new perspective
Redistricting has overshadowed every issue during this legislative session.
The Kentucky General Assembly has been in session since January and legislators have allowed redistricting to be a priority over important concerns such as education and job growth.
Bryan filed to compete for a seat in the State House of Representatives and Hardin County voters should consider his platform.

On the local veterans tribute

I am sure we all are aware that the purpose of the Hardin County Veterans Tribute is to honor the service and sacrifice of those who have so nobly defended our nation and the freedoms we enjoy.

But let me shed some light on the other side of the story. The plan for this tribute began in 2008. It was the brain child of Gary Broadway, who had seen a similar tribute to veterans while traveling.

Outpouring of support strikes home
I have had the great pleasure in assisting the coaching staff for the John Hardin High School bowling teams. During that time I was told that to compete, each bowler would need his or her own equipment. For a lot of reasons some could not afford to do so at the time. I asked my bowling companions from several leagues if they had any used bowling balls or bags they could donate to the high school bowlers.

Don’t shrug off the shoulders
When driving a car and the right front tire leaves the pavement and drops to the shoulder, hold the steering wheel tightly (as if your life depends on it), tense your arms, keep the wheels straight as possible and very slowly work your way back up on the road.
