Spring has arrived and school is over and normally it is a time when we should be thinking what a wonderful time for the younger generation to be getting serious about their future in leadership. Somehow I don’t feel as good as I normally do about the prize that is being turned over to them.
It is with some trepidation that I must take a limited issue with your editorial of June 7. I speak from some experience as I have worked the Heartland Parade 22-plus years through a variety of circumstances.
Our community is truly blessed to have the Central Kentucky Community Foundation. Over the years, this foundation quietly has gone about the business of philanthropy and has played an important role enhancing our community.
