I am writing in response to the letter of Sept. 16 by Paul Whiteley, who writes that the Republican Party is a white party and that blacks need not apply and that blacks have little input in shaping GOP policies. He objects to the fact that Sen. McConnell and others do not like the politics of President Obama.
