    Congress supports Alzheimer’s work

At the urging of the Alzheimer’s Association and more than 600,000 advocates who called, sent postcards and visited their legislators, Congress passed and President Obama has signed into a fiscal 2014 funding bill that includes an unprecedented $122 million increase for Alzheimer’s research, education, outreach and caregiver support.

Senator built state foundation for GOP

This past month, I listened to Matt Bevin make his case on why he should be chosen as the GOP Senate candidate. With no disrespect to Mr. Bevin, I was taken back to when I first arrived in Kentucky in December 1983. “Register as a Democrat or you won’t have a vote” was what I was told by more than a few. Then later that following year, a leader came out of Jefferson County to take down the “great” Dee Huddleston.

Obamacare ailing as website woes prove

Nancy Pelosi and a certain African-American news commentator feel that Obamacare is a racist term.

Since the Clown-In-Chief himself liked the term, nothing could be further from the truth.

Many of us knew from the get-go that the plan would not work and made our opinions well known. However, to prove a point, let me present some ideas.

Sharing opinion on a few candidates

As the political arena warms up in Hardin County, I often pay attention to motives, background and statements made by those who are involved or intend to be in the public eye.

Harry Barry, you get my vote because you are a representation of good solid values, leadership and a true conservative, as your fiscal responsibility is sound and based on the whole county.
