This is a wonderfully generous time of the year – a time when people share their wealth with a cause close to their hearts. This holiday season, we ask you consider supporting a local organization worthy of such a gift – CASA of the Heartland.
You would think that we Americans would have learned something about the use of deception when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941, without provocation or a declaration of war while pretending to talk peace.
Peace comes from within an individual and a community. In an era that promotes the use of violence to fight against those who are different from us, it’s extremely rare to see examples of forgiveness that exemplify the scripture of “forgiving those who trespass against us.”
During this season of Thanksgiving, the Youth Theatre of Hardin County would like to thank the Hardin County community for the continued support we receive. Our 43-year history of being the oldest Kentucky Youth Theatre program is only possible with the encouragement and support that we receive from our many patrons.
I have to respond to a letter from Mike Kinney printed Oct. 1 addressing my letter of Sept. 19. I never considered my letter to be a “rant,” as he called it, but I like that. I think I’ll call them that from now on.
