County deputy judge a good hire
When The News-Enterprise runs a story about Hardin County Government, I tend to see in online comments and gripes about mismanagement of funds this or unneeded pay raise that. One of the commonly recurring complaints always seems to come back to the pay raise given to the deputy judge position when Daniel London was brought on board.
On Tuesday, the paper detailed the new deal for the management of Pearl Hollow engineered by Deputy Judge London that swings the taxpayer from a $500,000 loss to a surplus of nearly $400,000. A near million dollar increase for the cost of a few thousand dollars a year for bringing in an expert? As a business owner, I consider that return on investment to be money well spent.
Thanks go out to Judge Berry and Fiscal Court for having the foresight to hire someone like Daniel London.
