Relay for Life advocate asks for help

From the start of Relay for Life in Elizabethtown, I never missed attending until this year. I was very disappointed Relay for Life did not take place this year. As a cancer survivor, it always has been a part of my survival journey.

I am a three-time cancer survivor and I have been diagnosed with cancer again. I would not wish cancer on anyone.

Coming up next year in 2020, we hope to again have one event for all of Hardin County. The upcoming Relay for Life is in need of committee members, teams and sponsors to help in raising money for the American Cancer Society. I‘m asking for anyone who has helped in the past to help us out only if in getting us started. Who knows the money raised this year could be used in finding a cure for yourself or a loved one. With God’s help and lots of prayer we will receive the help that is needed.

Relay for Life has been my passion for many years I will not let it die out, so please think about helping us if only for a little while think about it. Our next meeting is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Hardin County School Central Office at 65 W.A. Jenkins Road, Elizabethtown. Parking is at the back of building.
