Christmas in the Park returns this week with more than 100 displays that will transform Freeman Lake Park into an electric wonderland.
The annual light showcase opens Wednesday and runs through New Year’s Day, said Billy Pait, one of the event’s organizers. Open daily from 6 to 11 p.m., it has no admission charge. Donations, however, are accepted.
Pait said around 105 displays from local businesses and organizations are set for viewing this year, which does not count the displays purchased by the city over the years, such as arches and elves.
