In an effort to combat poverty in the region, United Way of Central Kentucky is offering Community Investment Grants to nonprofits wishing to advance their missions.
Hardin County Schools’ Early College and Career Center’s health science students helped about 195 people Tuesday.
As a part of a community project called $100 Solution, the students collaborated with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive.

Elizabethtown Independent Schools Board of Education approved the district’s draft budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1 during its regular monthly meeting Tuesday night at Panther Academy.
State law requires every local board of education to submit a draft budget before Jan. 31 for the upcoming school year.
