BARDSTOWN — Saturday morning’s 5th Region Softball Tournament draw at first-time host Nelson County left two area teams pretty thrilled and another facing a dangerous first-round game.

The defending champions will take the field first as the 18th District Tournament runner-up Green County Lady Dragons (21-9) take on the 20th District champion Taylor County Lady Cardinals (29-9) at 11 a.m. Monday. The teams met May 8 in Campbellsville with Green County eking out a 1-0 victory.
