The Elizabethtown volleyball team lost its first game of the season and went 2-1 Saturday in a tri-match at home.

The Lady Panthers lost to North Oldham 25-17, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17 and defeated Ballard (25-15, 25-15, 25-20) and Collins (25-7, 25-18, 25-15).

Sydney Clark led the way on the afternoon with 34 kills, 33 assists, 14 digs and 12 blocks, while Elizabeth Godfrey added 27 kills and 27 digs.

M.E. Hardan had 21 kills, 17 digs and 11 blocks; Ellie Taylor 13 kills, 14 blocks and 10 digs; Presley Payne 23 digs; Grace Filburn 22 assists; and Sarah Clark 25 assists.

Elizabethtown (19-1) hosts Central Hardin at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SOMERSET CHRISTIAN DEF. NORTH HARDIN CHRISTIAN 25-21, 25-23. Senior Rylee Washer had 10 kills and seven digs as the Lady Falcons fell to 9-4 on Friday.

Julia Allen collected 14 digs and two assists and Faith Clanton 12 digs and three assists. Maddie McPeek had four digs, two kills and two blocks; Abby Siekman six digs, four kills and four assists and Lauren Thompson seven assists, six kills, three digs and three aces.

NHC hosts Hearts for Christ at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

BOYS’ SOCCER

ELIZABETHTOWN 3, LAFAYETTE 2. The Panthers won for the ninth time this season before hitting the road for five of their final six games on the road.

Senior Luis Gomez scored two goals and assisted on the third goal, scored by Dylan Barnes. Bryan Herringshaw and Andrew Ballard had the assists on Gomez’s goals.

Elizabethtown (9-4-1) heads to Louisville St. Xavier at 7 p.m. Monday.

ATHERTON 3, NORTH HARDIN 0. The Trojans fell to 0-11-1 and visits Fort Knox (0-10) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

MARION COUNTY 8, FORT KNOX 3. The Eagles received goals from Liam Kaune, Travis Haley and Kohlton Reardon in losing their 10th game to start the season.

Fort Knox (0-10) hosts North Hardin (0-11-1) at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

LARUE COUNTY 2, HART COUNTY 1. Parker Nalley scored both goals for the Hawks at the Barren County Trojan Classic.

LaRue County (3-8), which dropped a 3-1 contest to Ohio County on Friday, visits Bethlehem (2-6) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

NELSON COUNTY 5, MEADE COUNTY 0. The Green Wave was down 3-0 at halftime. Keeper Kyler Chapman made eight saves.

Meade County (0-7-2) had eight shots on goal and visits Central Hardin (6-5-2) at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

SOMERSET 4, NORTH HARDIN CHRISTIAN 0. The Falcons were shutout for the third game in a row.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

JOHN HARDIN SPLITS. The Lady Bulldogs dropped a 2-0 decision to Central Magnet School and defeated Lenior City, 3-1 Saturday in the Smoky Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

John Hardin (7-5-1) visits Fort Knox (0-10-2) at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

CENTRAL HARDIN GOES 1-1. The Lady Bruins lost to Stewarts Creek and beat White Station, 3-1 Saturday in the Smoky Mountain Cup in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Central Hardin (8-4) plays this morning at 9:30 a.m. and welcomes North Hardin at 7 p.m. Monday.

GOLF

HAWKS PLACE SIXTH. LaRue County finished sixth out of 16 teams Saturday in the Greenwave Invitational at Doe Valley Golf Club.

Chase Childress led the way with an 80. JT Holcomb shot 81, Carson Childress 86, Chandler McLaughlin 87 and Tanner Lasley 96.
