The Meade County boys’ soccer team dispatched Butler County, 9-0 Tuesday evening in the 11th District Tournament semifinals.

The host Green Wave takes on Grayson County at 7:30 p.m. Thursday for the championship.

Grayson Pollock and Brycen Schmidt each recorded a hat trick for the winners.

Bradley Thornsberry scored twice, while Jesse Parada and Shane Seitz also scored.

Pollock and Eli McCune had assists.

Meade County had 22 shots on goal to Butler County’s eight. Keeper Kyler Chapman made two saves.

TAYLOR COUNTY 10, LARUE COUNTY 0. The Cardinals ended the Hawks’ season with the victory in the 18th District Tournament semifinals.

Taylor County plays Hart County in the final.


CENTRAL HARDIN DEF. GREEN COUNTY 25-15, 25-10, 25-16. The Lady Bruins are 24-7 after its 3-3 showing in the JVIC Tournament and hosts Bowling Green at 2 p.m. Thursday.
