    As an assistant coach with Marquette, Tyler Summitt began recruiting Reauna Cleaver several years ago.

    When Summitt was named Louisiana Tech’s head coach in April, he continued to pursue the Elizabethtown senior center. Cleaver said Summitt “never stopped, never gave up on me,” and that stuck with Cleaver.

    Senior Will Perish delivered a big-time save for the Central Hardin Bruins on Saturday.

    Perish, usually a defender, stopped Christian Academy of Louisville’s final shot in the shootout, tipping the ball over the net to preserve Central Hardin’s 3-2 win in the third-place game of the Louisville Male Bulldog Cup.

    The Louisville Iroquois Raiders shocked the Bulldogs, pulling out a 27-20 victory in overtime at Bulldog Stadium after John Hardin built a 20-13 halftime lead.
