    The North Hardin defense felt it was heading in the right direction this season, but the Trojans had a relapse Friday night against Southwestern in the Don Marshall Bowl.

    The Trojans had held their first two opponents to less than 30 points and 265 yards and appeared to be making progress from the unit which allowed 39 points and 379.8 yards per game last season.

  • PREP SOCCER ROUNDUP: Bruins roll...

    Senior midfielder Zach Fonda had a double hat trick as the Central Hardin Bruins steamrolled homestanding 17th District rival Fort Knox, 10-0 on Tuesday.

    Junior midfielder Ben Heideman had two goals and two assists, while senior forward Isaac Pipta added two goals and an assist.


    Senior setter Amanda Patterson had nine aces, helping lead the North Hardin Lady Trojans to a 3-0 win (25-5, 25-15, 25-10) over 17th District foe Fort Knox on Tuesday.

    Patterson also had 20 assists for North Hardin (9-5, 2-2 district), which has won 5-of-7.

    The John Hardin Bulldogs used a first-half scoring barrage to keep their undefeated start rolling while extending the woes of the Elizabethtown Panthers.

    Seniors Christian Bonifield and Jon Westwood scored 4 minutes apart, while sophomore Brandon Hubert scored on a header off a rebound to lift the host Bulldogs to a 3-0 win over 17th District rival Elizabethtown.

    The John Hardin Bulldogs were dealt another loss Monday with the loss of senior linebacker Maleek Moody.

    Moody, who was one of only three starters returning on defense, is out indefinitely after sustaining an injury, believed to have happened during the Central Hardin game.

    Senior forward Dani Wilson and junior midfielder Rebecca Black combined for six goals and three assists, leading the homestanding Elizabethtown Lady Panthers to a 10-0 win over 17th District rival Fort Knox on Monday.

    Wilson notched a hat trick and had one assist, while Black scored three times and assisted on two others for the Lady Panthers (5-3, 2-0 district).
