    Last year couldn’t have gone much worse for first-year coach Tony Garrison and the North Hardin Lady Trojans.

    North Hardin finished a disappointing 4-13 as injuries ravaged the Lady Trojans, forcing Garrison to bring up junior varsity players before they were ready.

    Seniors Saadiq Phillips and Brandt Martin scored, but it wasn’t enough as the North Hardin Christian Falcons lost 4-2 in their season at Landmark Christian on Friday.

    Phillips scored off an assist from senior Fernando Carmona, while senior Zach Fairfax had the assist on Martin’s goal.

    Freshman keeper Steven Taylor made four saves.

    The Meade County Lady Waves have gone from the guidance of one former star to another.

    After serving as an assistant to former coach Shajauna Ditto for three seasons, 24-year-old Morgan Benham is now in charge. Benham, who graduated in 2008, was the Area Player of the Year in 2007.
