    The Elizabethtown Blue All-Star squad wasted no time making its presence felt against Barren County in pool play of the Cal Ripken West Kentucky State 9-year-old Tournament on Wednesday evening at University Drive Park.

    It took all of a half-inning for the hometown squad to start lighting up the scoreboard, eventually leading to a 12-2 victory.

    On the football field, the Elizabethtown head coach is the boss of Panthers assistant Glenn Spalding. Off the gridiron, Brown now reports to Spalding after the 54-year-old was recently hired as Elizabethtown’s athletic director after Doug Barnes retired last month.
