    Perhaps no area team is primed to improve more next season than the Elizabethtown Lady Panthers.

    Elizabethtown finished 17-12 after losing to North Hardin in the 17th District Tournament semifinals.

    The finish wasn’t quite what Lady Panthers coach Matt Mardis had hoped for after they finished 16-12 in 2013.

    OWENSBORO — For the second straight year, the Central Hardin Lady Bruins will sustain heavy losses because of graduation.

    The Lady Bruins finished 33-9-1 after going 1-2 Thursday and Friday in the Worth/KHSAA State Softball Tournament at Jack Fisher Park, but won’t have the services of four starters if they make it back to Owensboro next year.
