    Senior keeper Jerrica Scovel made 10 saves as the host John Hardin Lady Bulldogs secured the fourth seed in the upcoming 10th District Tournament with a 3-1 win over North Hardin on Wednesday.

    John Hardin (7-8-1 overall, 2-2-1) will meet North Hardin (4-12-2, 1-4) again in the tournament quarterfinals at Fort Knox. The Lady Bulldogs finish with the same district record as Meade County, but the third-seeded Lady Waves allowed fewer goals to district opponents.

    The Central Hardin Lady Bruins won their third straight match with a 25-23, 21-25, 25-21 win over 5th Region rival Green County on Tuesday.

    The Lady Bruins (28-4) improved to 13-0 against region teams and 2-0 against 18th District teams.

    Cassidy Sorrells had 13 kills, two aces, two blocks and five digs, while Cheyenne Mills chipped in with 10 kills and two blocks.

    Nicole Lanford added eight kills, and Elle Lallo had 28 assists.

    For the second time this season, the James T. Alton Trojans couldn’t find a way to contain John Wilson.

    A Stuart Pepper eighth-grade quarterback, Wilson accounted for 181 of the Green Wave’s 280 yards as Stuart Pepper cruised to a 26-12 win Tuesday night in the championship game of the Middle School Athletic Conference at Meade County’s Hamilton Field.

    North Hardin senior midfielder Josh Cho scored on a shot from about 35 yards out, lifting the visiting Trojans to a 2-1 win over 10th District rival Fort Knox on Tuesday.

    Junior striker Hunter McGee scored off an assist from sophomore midfielder Elijah Linscott for a 1-0 lead. Fort Knox (5-6-2 overall, 0-3-1 district) tied it on a goal by junior striker Abraham Perez.

    Junior middle hitter Olivia Smith had 14 kills and 15 digs to lead the North Hardin Christian Lady Falcons to 24-26, 25-12, 25-10 win over Glasgow Christian on Monday.

    Sophomore Missy Schneider chipped in with 11 kills, five digs and three aces, while junior middle hitter Lacey Lundy added eight kills and eight digs.

    Senior libero Haley Daniels had 14 assists, 12 digs, four kills and two aces.

    Fort Knox fumbled six times, losing three, and ran out of gas in the 35-28 double-overtime loss at McAdams Field.
