Mallory Chaney entered her senior season with sky-high expectations.
She had aspirations of winning region championships and contending for state titles in the 200-meter dash and the 400 and 800 relays.
The year started off like none other. Central Hardin had a new coach in Brandon Adams, who was determined to get things turned around, and Chaney was one of the athletes leading the charge.
Adams, who coached at Ohio County for two years before coming to Central Hardin, heard nothing but great things about Chaney from distance coach Chris Ernst.
