    Junior midfielder Samantha Matherly scored two second-half goals as the Elizabethtown Lady Panthers snapped a two-game winless streak with a 2-0 win over host North Oldham on Wednesday.

    Sophomore midfielder Lexy Hazle had both assists for the Lady Panthers (13-5-3), who improved to 6-1-1 in the last eight games.

    Senior keeper Audrey Duke stopped both of North Oldham’s shots.

    Junior striker Noah Wiersema scored off an assist from junior striker Lorenzo Mengoli with 2 minutes left as the homestanding Central Hardin Bruins played to a 1-1 tie with fifth-ranked Bowling Green on Tuesday.

    The Bruins (14-2-2) extended their school record unbeaten streak to 10 games, while Bowling Green fell to .500 in its last four games.

    Senior keeper Andrew Trombley stopped nine of Bowling Green’s 10 shots. He allowed only a penalty kick with 2 minutes left in the first half.

    Junior outside hitter Kimberly Morris had six kills and one ace to help the visiting Elizabethtown Lady Panthers continue their recent dominance over rival LaRue County with a 25-15, 25-16 win on Tuesday.

    Senior outside hitter Denisha Nichols added four kills, two aces and one block, while junior setter Erin Burch added three kills, two aces and 17 assists.

    Junior middle hitter Darian Ditto added three kills for Elizabethtown (28-8), which won its second straight and improved to 13-2 against 5th Region competition.

    Homestanding Lexington Henry Clay won its 11th straight and handed Central Hardin one of its worst losses of the season with a 25-14, 25-16 victory Wednesday.

    Central Hardin (30-5) lost for the first time in five matches. Two of the Lady Bruins’ losses this season have been to 11th Region teams.

    Senior outside hitter Cassidy Sorrells paced the Lady Bruins with three kills, three digs and two aces, while sophomore middle hitter Sydney Hall added three kills and one block.
