    Junior Carlos Jones had 27 points, 13 rebounds, six steals and five assists as the host North Hardin Christian Falcons rolled to an 81-43 victory Thursday night over the Louisville Holy Angels Academy Angels in the KCAA 2nd Region Tournament semifinals.

    The top-seeded Falcons (22-3), who have won 9-of-10, will play either second-seeded Hillview MICAH or third-seeded Louisville Highlands Latin in the title game at 7 tonight. The Falcons are ranked third out of 17 in the KCAA statewide poll.

    The North Hardin Trojans have faced adversity – some of it was their own doing – the entire season, so they didn’t blink when it showed up again Thursday evening.

    After trailing for only 43 seconds the first three quarters, the Trojans found themselves in a hole early in the fourth quarter after Elizabethtown surged ahead. But fourth-seeded North Hardin kept its composure and rallied the final 6 minutes for a 61-58 victory to stun the top-seeded Panthers in the Boys’ 17th District Basketball Tournament at Charlie Rawlings Memorial Gymnasium.

    The John Hardin Lady Bulldogs made history against North Hardin in the regular season, but the Lady Trojans weren’t about to let it happen again in the postseason.

    North Hardin never trailed after sophomore forward Morgan Barrick’s putback 52 seconds in and the third-seeded Lady Trojans rolled past the second-seeded Lady Bulldogs, 71-42 in the 17th District Tournament’s late semifinal Wednesday at the Dawg Pound.
