    RADCLIFF — This wasn’t quite the tune-up the North Hardin Lady Trojans needed heading into their showdown with No. 1.

    Senior forward Destiny Bramblett scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and sophomore guard Brianna Woodson had 12 points and three steals to lead the homestanding Lady Trojans to a 70-38 win over 17th District rival Fort Knox on Friday night at Ron Bevars Gymnasium.

    LOUISVILLE — An area duo had a solid weekend in the water.

    Central Hardin senior Amber Cooper and Elizabethtown sophomore Emma Coakley both advanced to Saturday’s individual finals (top eight) after solid preliminary times Friday at the Pannell Swim Shop KHSAA Swimming & Diving Championships at the University of Louisville’s Ralph Wright Natatorium.

    Cooper finished fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1 minute, 6.98 seconds after qualifying fifth Friday in 1:06.94.

    Three John Hardin players scored in double figures as the host Bulldogs rallied past 5th Region rival Green County on Friday, 67-61.

    Senior post Deshawn Curtis scored a team-high 17 points for John Hardin (11-10), which won for the fourth time in six games. Junior guard Malcolm Foster hit two 3-pointers and scored 13 points, while junior post Jeff Richard added 10 points.

    Green County (10-12) dropped its seventh straight.
