BOWLING GREEN — The Elizabethtown and John Hardin boys’ golf teams have dominated the region tournament the last four years.

Each school has captured two region championships to go along with two runner-up finishes to lock up automatic bids to the Leachman Buick-Pontiac-GMC/KHSAA Boys’ State Golf Championship.

The problem is success at region hasn’t translated to success at the state tourna-ment.

HODGENVILLE — With the weather drawing cooler, LaRue County High School football coach Rodney Armes would love to spend a November Friday night in the Land of Lincoln instead of on a bus to and from Louisville.

To make that happen, his Hawks (3-3 overall, 0-1 in the four-team Class 4-A, District 4) must make their bus trip to Lebanon worthwhile tonight when they take on the homestanding Marion County Knights (4-1, 0-1).
