Moores celebrate 60th anniversary

Charlie and Norma Brashear Moore will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 27, 2020.

They were married Aug. 27, 1960, in Elizabethtown.

Mr. Moore is retired from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, where he was a truck driver and CDL instructor.  He later retired from driving a school bus for the Elizabethtown Independent School System.

Mrs. Moore also is a retired school bus driver for the Elizabethtown Independent School System and crossing guard through the Elizabethtown Police Department, having worked at St. James Elementary School.

Both are regularly active in their church, First Baptist Church in Elizabethtown, and avid supporters of Elizabethtown Independent School athletics.

They have six children, Ronald Nelson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ricardo Moore, Reginald Moore, Rhonda Moore Scott, Rita Moore and Rochelle Moore, all of Elizabethtown; 14 grandchildren, two who preceded them in death, and three great-grandchildren.

Because of COVID-19, a private celebration will be held in honor of their anniversary.
