Lucy Sonsalla received the James and Betty Holeman Scholarship from Central Kentucky Community Foundation.
Sonsalla is a 2019 graduate of John Hardin High School. She is the daughter of Scott and Lori Sonsalla and plans to attend Georgetown University.
The James and Betty Holeman Scholarship was established in 2017 with an annual $2,000 award. Mr. and Mrs. Holeman have lived and worked in our community for many years with a deep commitment to the importance of education. With their generous gift, they will support students in our region forever.
The James and Betty Holeman Scholarship is one of 113 scholarships being awarded by CKCF this year through Scholarship Central. The scholarships total nearly $286,000 and were awarded to 94 students from 13 high schools and two colleges in the region.
