St. James Catholic Church announced a new way for individuals to support the church. The SJCC Endowment, facilitated through Central Kentucky Community Foundation, will help provide financial stability.
“We’re blessed to have so many parishioners who are committed to stewardship,” said the Very Rev. Martin Linebach, St. James pastor. “Whether through time, talent or treasure, our church family always comes together to support St. James.”
Supporters may donate online at ckcf4people.org or by mailing checks made out to the community foundation. Donations are eligible for the Endow Ky Tax Credit, which allows donors to receive a charitable deduction and 20 percent credit against state income taxes, up to $10,000.
“Stewardship is a way of life for many parishioners and, as good stewards, each of us plays an important role in perpetuating the mission of the church,” Diane Logsdon, architect of the endowment said in a release. “This endowment is an opportunity to make an impactful gift to the best of one’s ability and be part of creating a sustaining revenue source for St. James.”
