Hardin County youth interested in financial help for church camp or expenses related to a mission trip can apply for assistance.
Lahoma Routt established The Lahoma Routt Fund, an endowment with Central Kentucky Community Foundation, to provide money to cover fees to Kentucky church camps and mission trips each year for several students. By establishing an endowment fund, Routt is providing an opportunity for future generations of church youth in Hardin County to benefit from her generosity.
“The Lahoma Routt Fund gives children a camp or mission trip experience that might otherwise be out of reach,” said Davette Swiney, president and CEO of the foundation. “Working with Mrs. Routt to make her dream possible was an honor. Her generosity will impact our local youth and community forever.”
Applications for the Lahoma Routt Fund are available at www.ckcf4people.org.
Applications should be submitted to the applicant’s church office by March 15. Churches will complete and submit final applications to the foundation, in care of Lahoma Routt Fund, 306 W. Dixie Ave., Elizabethtown, KY 42701, or send by email to email@example.com
