A Vine Grove man has been identified as the victim in Monday night’s shooting inside a vehicle in the front parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter in Radcliff.
Hardin County Coroner Dr. William Lee said Cornelius Tory, 20, was the man killed. According to an arrest citation, Tory, who wasn't identified in the citation, was shot eight times by Kendall Dewayne Lincoln, 21, of Elizabethtown.
Lincoln was arrested by Radcliff police Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with murder and first-degree robbery. Radcliff Police Chief Jeff Cross said Lincoln also could face additional charges from the shooting as the investigation continues.
A .45-caliber handgun was used in the shooting, according to an arrest citation.
Tory was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
Radcliff police made a traffic stop Tuesday of a vehicle Lincoln was driving on Joe Prather Highway as it headed east toward Interstate 65, Cross said. He was arrested at Radcliff police headquarters at 3:32 p.m.
Police were called to Walmart regarding shots being fired at 10:06 p.m. Monday.
Lincoln is being held in lieu of a $500,000 cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center.
