A Hardin County farmer has joined the Kentucky Soybean Association’s board of directors.
Houston Howlett, who operates a Camp Nevin Farm in the Nolin area between Sonora and Glendale, was elected to the position by farmers from the region. Howlett and his wife, Katy, represented Kentucky last year at the American Soybean Association’s recognition for young leaders.
Elected as officers were Allen Pace, Ballard County, president; Brent Gatton, Muhlenberg County, vice president; Adam Hendricks, Logan County, secretary; and Jonathan Reynolds, Hickman County, treasurer.
Fred L. Sipes of Ekron, who ended his third, three-year term on the board, is the outgoing president.
He spent a year serving as the organization’s president.
