Two juveniles were arrested Monday by Elizabethtown police after a neighbor reportedly saw them pouring bags of leaves onto a vehicle.

The teens were wanted in connection with 31 vehicle tires being slashed between Sept. 13 and Monday in and around the Winchester Park subdivision, Elizabethtown Police Department spokesman Chris Denham said.

EPD received a call around 4 a.m. and a short time later the juveniles were arrested.

They are charged with 31 counts of third-degree criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail, if convicted.

Denham said surveillance video, an “astute citizen” and police work led to the arrests.
