A Radcliff man was arrested Monday morning after reportedly breaking into a Kingswood Way residence by kicking in a basement door and stealing various items.
According to an arrest citation, De’Andre Jenkins, 23, was located on Hill Street by Radcliff police and arrested at 1:59 a.m. He was in possession of various items the homeowner said were missing, police said.
A woman said when she returned home from a trip to Georgia, she walked into the home and found Jenkins asleep in a hallway. He woke up and fled the residence with household items, including an Amazon Fire Stick streaming device. She also said her Roku television had been taken, according to Jenkins’ arrest citation.
The home also had trash and food items scattered in various parts of it, the citation said.
Jenkins is charged with second-degree burglary, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
He was lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center and released Monday on an unsecured $5,000 bond.
