A Shepherdsville man was arrested Feb. 14 after police say he attempted to inflict bodily harm and terrorize a victim.
According to an arrest citation, Joshua Kerry Goodall, 26, unlawfully restrained another person with the intent of harming and terrorizing them. During the course of around eight hours on Feb. 10 and 11, Goodall allegedly kept a person confined in his car while he drove around.
The person, at one point, got into the driver’s seat and attempted to drive Goodall home, the citation said. During that time, Goodall grabbed the steering wheel and climbed on top of the victim while the car was in motion.
Goodall drove the car around and, at one point, threatened to crash the car killing them both, terrorizing the victim, the citation said.
The victim attempted to get away from Goodall and he reportedly followed her into a women’s restroom at a gas station in Sonora, where he choked her to the point that she passed out, the citation said. The woman had visible marks around her neck and a substantial complaint of pain, the citation said.
Goodall was charged with kidnapping, adult; first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree strangulation. He’s being held in the Hardin County Detention Center in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.
He is scheduled to appear Monday morning in Hardin District Court for arraignment.
