A parking lot incident Wednesday afternoon at Aldi in Radcliff led to the arrest of a Vine Grove man on multiple felony charges.
Michael J. Mahar, 60, is charged with Class D felonies of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and first-degree criminal mischief, all punishable by one to five years in prison, if convicted.
According to an arrest citation, Mahar was involved in an argument around 12:15 p.m. over a parking spot. He reportedly pulled out a knife and threatened another person. According to the report, he said he was going to cut the victim’s car “and show Hispanic people how to drive.”
He then allegedly concealed the knife in his wife’s purse and admitted to stabbing the front window of the other person’s car and cutting the driver’s side of the convertible top.
Mahar, who was arrested by Radcliff police, will be arraigned on the charges this morning in Hardin District Court.
