Two Elizabethtown residents has been indicted by a Hardin County grand jury on various drug charges, including trafficking in LSD and methamphetamine.

William James Smith II, 47, and Michael Vernell Smith, 54, were indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – LSD; trafficking in synthetic drugs; possession of drug paraphernalia; first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine; third-degree possession of a controlled substance and use and investment of drug related income.

Four of the charges are felonies.

Gary Morris Green, 56, of Radcliff, also is a co-defendant in the case. He was indicted for possession of drug paraphernalia; first-degree possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.

Indictments are formal accusations and not proof of guilt.

• Nathaniel Upton, 35, Eliza­beth­town, first-degree strangulation; fourth-degree assault, domestic violence; intimidating a participant in the legal process.

• Jacob Lane, 19, Louisville, speeding; theft by unlawful taking, automobile; no operator’s license; reckless driving; first-degree fleeing or evading police in a motor vehicle; first-degree fleeing or evading police on foot; first offense driving under the influence; first-degree wanton endangerment; first-degree criminal mischief.

• Christopher Shonkwiler, 25, Louis­ville, speeding; reckless driving; driving too fast for traffic conditions; first-degree fleeing or evading police; resisting arrest; receiving stolen property more than $500.

• Christopher Jackson, 37, Eliza­beth­town, complicity to fraudulent firearm transaction.

• George Sowards, 38, Frankfort, driving on suspended or revoked license; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a defaced firearm; convicted felon in possession of a handgun.

• Lane Ashley, 20, Rineyville, first-­degree criminal mischief; menacing.

• Jacquial Griffin, 30, Kalamazoo, Michigan, first-degree possession of a controlled substance – drug unspecified, gun enhanced; convicted felon in possession of a handgun; possession of marijuana, gun enhanced; possession of drug paraphernalia, gun enhanced; second-degree possession of a controlled substance – amphetamine, drug enhanced; driving on suspended or revoked license.

• Daniel Beavers, 23, Bardstown, complicity to third-degree burglary; possession of burglary tools; second-degree criminal trespassing; first-degree persistent felony offender.

• Jackie Allen III, 40, Bardstown, complicity to third-degree burglary; possession of burglary tools; first-degree persistent felony offender.

• Pierre Duncan, 34, Indianapolis, speeding; third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – alprazolam.

• Eva Bell Jr., 32, Bardstown, first-degree wanton endangerment; first offense driving under the influence of intoxicants; menacing; third-degree terroristic threatening.

• James Franklin, 33, Radcliff, second-degree burglary.
