Vine Grove man arrested for sexual abuse

A Vine Grove man is facing a felony sex abuse charge involving a girl younger than 12 following his arrest late Tuesday afternoon.

Michael Kevin Lehman, 42, is being held in lieu of a $10,000 cash bond in the Hardin County Detention Center after he was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse – victim under the age of 12, a Class C felony punishable by five to 10 years in prison, if convicted.

Lehman has an indirect family relationship with the child, according to the citation.

Lehman allegedly had sexual contact with the child Monday afternoon, according to the citation.

The charge was enhanced from a Class D felony to Class C because it involves a minor.

Lehman was arraigned on the charge Wednesday in Hardin District Court and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 15 for a preliminary hearing.
